Site Evaluation

For this rotation, I met on zoom with my site evaluator PA Sadat as well as my classmates who were on different rotations. PA Sadat gave each of us feedback that we could all learn from.

For my site visit, I presented a patient who had been hospitalized for sepsis secondary to a klebsiella liver abscess who now presented with a new DVT. We discussed the workup of liver abscess as well as management by IR with percutaneous drains. We also discussed workup and management of DVTs.

I also submitted 5 drug cards and another case of a patient who had rib fractures that occurred with persistent coughing due to his pneumonia. He was advised to follow up outpatient with endocrinology to determine the underlying cause of his weakness of his bones.

In conclusion, my site visits with PA Sadat were great learning experiences. He gave useful feedback on my H and Ps and care plans that I will refer back to. I also appreciated hearing the different interesting cases that my classmates presented.
